Hello, I am Deborah, an artist, Head Tutor at Vincents Art Workshop. I would like to thank the staff and artists for the warm welcome this week. I am so excited to be working at Vincents.
I first studied at Toihoukura in 1998 and received my Advanced Diploma in Māori Art and Design and then went on to further study and received a Diploma in Secondary Teaching (Art) with Christchurch College of education.
I have been a practicing artist since 1998 and wanted to extend my professional practice and returned to Toihoukura in 2016 and completed my masters, Te Hono ki Toi (Poutiriao|Poutiritāeo) Master of Professional Creative Practice in 2018. I am passionate about creating art, it feeds my soul.
